With commercial focal plane array based systems yielding frame rates of typically 10KHz, the DAIRS detection system. with it’s parallel readout array, achieves more than two orders of magnitude performance increase.
Developed under UK research funding this system brings infrared microspectroscopy to a new level allowing exploration into cancer precursors in human cells. The system, however is highly flexible and will afford dramatic performance enhancements over existing infrared imaging subsystems, in a variety of scientific and industrial applications.
