The theme of the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2017 meeting in St Louis is “Anniversaries.” At this meeting in St. Louis the Microscopy Society of America and the Microanalysis Society, which established the joint Microscopy & Microanalysis 2017 meeting format more than twenty years ago, will celebrate their 75th and 50th anniversaries, respectively. Anniversary lectures by pioneering figures in microscopy and microanalysis will be featured in special morning and midday sessions. You’ll be able to hear about the development and future prospects for instrumentation and techniques that are at the forefront of our field today in the exhibition hall, while enjoying some complimentary coffee. Olivia Sleator and Eduardo Nebot will be manning the Quantum Detectors Ltd booth (number 212) and will be happy to discuss our Merlin detector high speed direct detector with you – ideal for applications such as 4D STEM and ptychography.
