What is climate positive?

Climate-positive means that activity goes beyond achieving net-zero carbon emissions to create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

How do Quantum Detectors help?

Quantum Detectors are committed to playing our part in looking after our environment and reaching the reductions in greenhouse gas output required to meet the Paris Agreement targets. While our equipment improves scientific discovery rates and therefore propels the human race to use resources more efficiently, our business involves essential travel to meet people and install hardware and other carbon emitting practices. Our emissions of greenhouse gases have been calculated using QAS approved and independently audited mechanism to which we added a substantial contingency. We purchase credits to offset these from Carbon Footprint, a UK-based provider of offset projects accredited by: Certified Emission Reductions (CERs), Gold Standard CERs, Gold Standard Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). Quantum Detectors have chosen to support projects which offer additional societal benefits and more significant projects which avoid emissions equally.
