Overview of the LynX T3
Event-based detection made easy. Based on the Timepix3 chip, the Lynx T3 can measure individual photons over a certain threshold, recording both their time of arrival, time over threshold and energy. LynxT3 is available in a 2 x 2 (512 pixels x 512 pixels), 1 x 4 (256 pixels x 1024 pixels) or 2 x 4 (512 pixels x 1024 pixels) configuration. The LynxT3 is currently used by synchrotrons including ORNL and BNL.
Specifications
- Event-based X-ray detection
- Time resolution of 1.6 nanoseconds
- 55 µm pixel size
- Threshold range of 5 keV – 17 keV (for 500 μm silicon)
Applications and features of the LynX T3
Data driven event-based detection
Smaller data files, data recorded when an event occurs, with X, Y time and energy information for each pixel hit.
Fast time-resolving capabilities
With a 1.6 ns time resolution, the LynX T3 is ideal for samples with fast structural changes.
Current techniques include:
Time-resolved XAS and time-resolved XES.
