Quantum Detectors is a spinout from STFC and Diamond Light Source, based at Harwell Campus. We develop advanced detector technology for the X-ray and electron microscopy markets. Our cutting-edge products are installed at prestigious research facilities all over the world.

Working within the R&D team, the software engineer will take ownership of creating, improving, auditing and maintaining software for use with our detector systems. The software engineer will have a strong background in high-speed data processing and associated User Interface design. Current projects are also looking at future industry standard support (SYCL etc.) for application accelerators (GPU based or other). There is likely to be some exposure to embedded systems work, typically centred on ARM cores within FPGA SoC devices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual with development experience in C, C++, Python, and Javascript.
